Conduct Closing Day © North Dakota Is Only State Unit : to Have Full Insurance Quota Written * _ Newly elected officers of the North * Dakota unit of the Royal Neighbors of America were in charge of the concluding session of the annual state camp Thursday. Principal speakers on the program were Thomas H. Moodie, state WPA administrator, and Mrs. J Long, Fargo, state supervising deputy. Special papers were to be given by ‘Mrs. Cecelia Hovell, Grand Forks, and Mrs. Nellie Haugan and Mrs. Mae Logan, both of Minot. Elected and installed as state of- ficers were Miss Nell Garvik, Grand Forks, oracle; Mrs. Mildred Nixon, Elsie Schweigert, 3 Edna Kopes, 5 5 Grace Canfield, Williston, inner sentinel; Ida Helvik, Beulah, outer sentinel; Zella Hanson, Streeter, with Verda Schutz, Glen Ullin, and Minneta Kottke, Velva, credit committee; Mary Scott with Alice Dahl, Rhame, and Mrs. Vera Trepp, Bismarck, “press! committee; Mary Muir, Gilby, with Ida Lechner, Fargo, and Mabel An- derson, Valley City, resolutions com~- mittee, and Hanna Doran, Fargo, chairman, with Enid Chilson, James- town, and Cecelia Hovell, Grand Forks, committee on rules of order. The convention received word ‘Wednesday from national headquar- ters, Rock Island, Il., that North Da-' kota is the only state in this juris- diction to get the full quota of in- surance written. The quota amounts to $300,000. At the banquet to be held tonight in the dining room of the Patterson hotel, Mrs. Mabel Penwarden will act as toastmistress. Mrs. Frank Barnes, who has been in charge of the music for the three days of the convention, announces the following program for the banquet: Baritone solo, George Humphreys; soprano solo, Mrs, W. C. Wilson, Fort Lincoln; contralto solo, Mrs. K. C. Hathaway, Bismarck. Also on the program are: Mmes. Tillie Melicher, Napoleon; Florence Larson, McKenzie; Vera Trepp and Mrs. E. P. Needham, Mandan. ~~; ° . The banquet will be followed by a meeting in the silver ballroom of the Patterson hotel, at which the new officers and district deputies will "be, introduced. The music for this.con- cluding program will include 9 solo by Mrs. Julia Acker, Hillsboro, and | ¢ @ duet by Mmes. Mabel Barnes and Myrtle Wilkinson, Mandan. Initia- tion will be held by the Cushing Camp group and the convention will be formaily closed. Owing to a change in the conven- tion program the name of Mrs. H. R. Mortinson did not appear on the pro- gram for Tuesday night. Mrs. Mor- tinson played an eat ion solo. * J. Foreshew Appointed: To Panama Position Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Foreshew, 816 Avenue D, have departed on the first lap of a trip which will take them to Canal Zone, Panama, to make their home. They are visiting in Pierre, 8. D., and will then go to Fargo, where | Mrs. Foreshew and daughter, Mary Katherine, will visit relatives for two ‘months. ‘.
