Opie 8. Rindahl, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church, said here Monday in a special Thanksgiving day address which featured the reg- ular noonday luncheon of the, Lions club. Reverend Rindahl cited the federal improvement programs in this area and the vast amount of U, 8. funds poured into this section for relief as examples of things for which the populace should be grateful. Regardless of the drouth and crop failure, retail business has been im- proving steadily and is a type of cash business that is welcomed by the mer- chants, Rindahl said. Archie Johnson won the at- tendance prize, Death Ends 3 Years’ Suffering for Girl Mitchell, S, D., Nov. 24.—(@)—Death ended three years of suffering for little Allegra McDougal, 6-year-old daughter of Mrs. Ethel McDougal of Mitchell. The child died in Shrine hospital, St. Paul, where she had been con- fined since last March and has un- dergone 12 operations for skin graft- ing. She suffered severe body burns in her home three years ago and was in a Mitchell hospital for a year and a half before being removed to Shrine hospital. She died while on the operating table for another operation. Her father was killed in an automobile ac- cident several years ago. Catch Hit-Run Auto Driver After Chase Minneapolis, Nov. 24,—(#)—Cap- tured in a chase through streets and alleys a half-hour after his car had struck two pedestrians early Tuesday, Marcel LaBreche, 25, on probation for drunken driving, was sentenced to serve 90 days in the workhouse. The victims of the accident suffered bruises, lacerations and broken ribs.
