McKenzie ! By MRS. T. T. HUGHES Russell Hughes, who was five years old Tuesday, was honored at a birth- day party Tuesday afternoon. Supper, chief feature of which was a white and yellow cake, was served by his mother. Mrs. Frank Kenmitz of Aberdeen, 8. D., spent the week visiting Mrs. Van Scott. The Homemakers’ club held a regu- lar meeting Thursday at the Menoken Picnic grounds. Mrs. Frank Kenmity of Aberdeen, 3. D. and Mrs. Melvin Agnew of Menoken were visitars. Af- ter the lesson given by Mrs. B. F. Coons a pot luck lunch was served. The club will hold its annual banquet October 7. ‘The Sunday School sponsored a pie Social and program Friday evening in the hall. Numbers on the program were: Song by Ethel and Marjorie Mork; poem by Miss Margaret Olson; violin solo by Fred Korn; song by the glee club; vocal solo by Harold Fal- Kins; reading by Mrs. T. T. Hughes and a musical number by the Misses Bernice and Margaret Bliss. $12.00 was realized.
