September wheat closed 1% cents lower, December 1% cents, May 1% cent. Flax futures dipped sharply. Sep- tember flax closed 4% cents lower, December 5 cents, May 5 cents. Coarse grain futures were led to a lower level by Chicago corn. Sep- tember oats closed % cent lower, D cember % cent, May % cent; Septe ber rye 1% cent, December % cent, May % cent; December malting bar- ley closed unchanged, September feed barley one cent lower, December 2% cents, Uhdertone of cash wheat was quite a bit better.
