The broadcast was heard over 32 stations in the United States and also was transmitted over short wave apparatus which brought letters from the Hawaiian Islands, India and other foreign countries. The Association of Commerce is cooperating with the Salvation Army in completing arrangements for the sppearance of the band. A banquet honoring the musicians will be held. Three opportunities will be given Capital City residents to hear the famous ensemble, which has 32 musi- cians under direction of Henry G. Merritt. They will play at the morning services in the McCabe Methodist church, will give a concert at the same place at 3 p. m., and will play in the city auditorium at 7:30 p. m. Major Smith expects a large num- ber of Salvation Army dignitaries from both Canada and the United States to be here for the concerts. French Ace Crushes Californian in Meet Rye, N.
