BLIND SCHOOL AIRED Woman Employe Discharged by Arkansas Administrators as Result of Stories Little Rock, Ark., May 19.—(?)}— ‘The board of control weighed stories of scandalous conditions at the Arkansas school for the blind Tues- day after discharging a woman em- Ploye named as the “wild party” in- timate of several students. Wednesday the board will decide whether Superintendent W. M. Brown will be retained in the post he has held for six years. In a four-hour hearing Monday some witnesses told of drinking and parties by students both on and off the campus and of inefficiency and laxness in the operation of the school. Others disputed the charges. The unnamed woman employe was dismissed after one student testified he kept a love tryst with her in the Anstitution’s hospital. Trees also will be planted on the south end of the capitol approach, while hedges, shrubbery and flower beds will be spaced between the trees on the south end and the capitol on the north. ‘When completed, the approach will be one of the most beautiful to any capitol in the nation, officials stated. - Wilton Eighth Grade Pupils Tour Capital ee L. BARTON, CLAIMED BY DEATH Kidney Disease Fatal to Brad- ‘dock Youth; Funeral Plans Incomplete Dale C. Barton, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Barton of Braddock, died at 4 p.m. Monday at a local hospital. The cause of death was kidney dis- ease. He first suffered from the ailment in January while attending the Da- kota Business college at Fargo. He returned to his home and on April 22 entered the hospital for treatment. Puneral services have been set ten- tatively for Friday with interment to be made at Braddock. Complete de- tails have not been announced. The youth was born March 10, 1916. He attended schools at Braddock and was graduated from the high school there in 1935, Besides his parents he leaves three sisters, Louise Barton, school teacher at Robinson, N. D.; Mrs. Carl Spitzer of Braddock and Mrs. H. W. Beal of Kintyre; and two brothers, Lowell at Barton of Fargo and Howard, home.
