It is gripping entertainment of an ‘unusual sort, therefore hard to de- ecribe. It has thrills galore. It shows the audience intimate details of na- tive life to rise to a crescendo of emo- tion, and ‘it tells a deliciately ro- mantic story of love. And it is all set an island scenery of almost breath- ‘Snowed Under,’ Riotous Comedy What is heralded as one of the maddest, merriest comedy romances of the season, “Snowed Under,” a First, National picture, opens at the Capitol theatre today. The picture is enacted by a bril- Mant all star cast which includes George Brent, Genevieve Tobin, Glen- da Farrell, Patricia Ellis, Frank Mc- Hugh, John Eldredge, Porter Hall and Helen Lowell. The action takes place in a New England farmhouse where a young playwright, who is madly trying to finish a new drama, is snow-bound with two ex-wives, a new sweetheart, the lawyer for the second wife and a Sheriff who is seeking to land the author in jail for failure to pay his alimony. Propinquity also plays strange pranks, and the gold digging divorcee, who is seeking to throw her husband into jail for failure to pay alimony, casts her eyes on the sheriff. There ensues a series of love entanglements. It is estimated that each of the 80,000,000 stray cats in the United States eats al 50 birds a year, LIONEL ALWAYS TEASED KIDS SMALLER THAN HIMSELF!
