Borah con- demned “trade and barter” methods of choosing presidential candidates Thursday night as he swung into his speaking campaign for Ohio delegates to the Republican canvention. “See to it that you have some voice ,in the selection of the party’s nomi- nee for president,” he urged, attack- ing the Ohio Republican party's “fa- vorite son” plan for its delegation to the convention. “Do you want to send an unin- structed delegation which may be gathered in some hotel room at 3 a. m., under conditions I will not de- scribe and have there a trade and barter entered into that will deter- mine the selection of the nominee?” It was Borah’s first appearance in Ohio since he announced his, candi- dacy for president. |Dionnes in New York To See Quins ‘Star’ New York, Mar. 20.—(#)—The par- ents of the world’s most famous babies —the Dionne quintuplets—were in New York Friday to see their off- spring perform in motion pictures.
