The score was 6 to 0. A punt that traveled only 10 yards, two plays after the opening kickoff gave the Saints the ball on the Imps’ 40. This break, followed by a 15-yard penalty on the Imps, paved the way for the winning touchdown. Leroy Reff took the ball on the first play and smashed off tackle for five yards and then circled end for 13} more and a first down. Art Helbling picked up one yard around end and Reff was held for no gain. Reff was given the ball again and this time drove off tackle for six and Rausch ploughed the remaining five yards for ithe counter.
