Early Tuesday an unidentified worker, attempting to leave the plant, was met by pickets and forced to run back into the plant without his coat. At one time Monday night police estimated that 3,000 persons had gathered around the factory. The strike was called suddenly Monday by the Rayon Workers local of the United Textile Workers Union.
