Outstanding as the most important social event of the year, and sponsored by the Central Trades and Labor Assembly of Bismarck in cooperation with civic, social and business leaders throughout the city, the occasion will be doubly happy because of the manner in which the fund raised by the party will be spent. Seventy per cent of the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be turned over to local charities, while the remaining 30 per cent will be turned over to President Roosevelt to be used by a national commission appointed by him for widening the research efforts aimed at wiping out infantile Paralysis. Tickets for this ball, the second President’s Birth- day party, are being sold by a corps of volunteer salesmen and saleswom- en. If they do not visit you, you are urged to procure your ticket at either the G. P. News or State Confectonery. The charge for the benefit affair is $1 per couple.
