Anthony is Announced Miss Geraldine Manson, who has been selected to fill the vacancy in the position of head of the children’s department at the Bismarck Public library, is expected to arrive Friday from Wauwatosa, Wis., and to begin her new duties the first of the month, The new appointment was announced ‘Tuesday by the librarian, Miss Ruth King. The new childrens librarian is & graduate of Ward Belmont school and of the University of Wisconsin li- brary school, where she specialized in childrens work. Since her graduation this spring. she has been employed in the Ubeeired department of the ‘Wauwatosa library. Her home is at Terre Haute, Ind. Miss Manson will take the place of the former Miss Mary Louise Reed, who resigned her position prior to her marriage to Gerald Shelby, of Martin, which was & Pht — Millner attended the bridegroom. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw left Sunday for @ three-week honeymoon trip to the west coast. Upon their return they will make their home at Mandan. The bridegroom is employed at a Standard Oil service station in Bis- marck. He is a graduate of the Man- dan high school. The bride also at- tended the Mandan schools and since completing her education has been employed as a telephone operator by th bebatetos oe — Date for Weinstein Concert Is Changed A change in date announced Tues- day will bring the concert appear- ance of Miss Jeannette Weinstein, pianist, on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in- stead of on September 18, when the concert first was scheduled by the sponsoring organization, the Thursday Musical club. The change is being made for the convenience of the artist ‘There is much anticipation of Miss Local Couple ‘Reveals Nuptials on June 28 Formal announcement was made in ‘Bismarck Tuesday of the marriage of Miss Emma Renk and Erling Schacht, both of this city, which occurred in Chicago on Thursday, June 28. Fol- lowing their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Schacht made a short wedding trip, returning to the city during month of July. Mrs. Schacht, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Renk, Golden Valley, has been employed in Bis- marck for four years. The bride- groom also has been in Bismarck for four years. A. Shaw, Tacoma, Wash. Rev. Father Hildebrand Eichkoff, O. 8. B., offi- ciated. ‘The bride was attired in a floor- length gown of blue organdy and a large white straw hat with other ac- cessories also in white and carried a prayer book, which was a -confirma~ tion gift. Mrs. Anthony Millner, a Weinstein’s concert in local musical circles since this is the young pian- ist’s first public concert appearance here since she has received a scholar- ship from Curtis Institute of Phila- delphia, Pa. This fall she will return to Philadelphia for her seventh year of study under her scholarship.
