I. Devold, president ofthe Thursday Musical Club. Miss ‘Weinstein, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Weinstein, was born in Bismarck. She was heard in a pub- lic recital here at the City Auditor- dum at the age of nine, as a child prodigy, being presented at that time also by the Thursday Musical Club. Miss Weinstein, a brilliant young pianist, has for the last six years been ® scholarship pupil at the Curtiss Institute in Philadelphia. The Curtis Institute, founded and endowed by the late Edward Bok and the Curtiss Publishing company, has for its aim the discovery and development of un- usual musical talent throughout the United States. At present Miss Wein- stein is the only pupil there from the northwest part of the country. Persons of Bismarck interested in music have watched Miss Weinstein’s progress in the musical world with in- creasing interest and are looking for- ward to again hearing this rising young artist in recital. Mrs. Devold has not named a com- plete list of the committees to make arrangements for the approaching re- cital and preliminary announcements have been made by Mrs. M. W. Roan @nd Miss Belle Mehus, who have charge of the publicity. A number of ‘women outside the club, who are in- terested in Miss Weinstein’s musical career, will assist the committees in their work. ** * Mr. and Mrs. E.
