HUNDREDS ATTEND HARRIS. FUNERAL Many Out of Town Relatives and Friends Here for Serv- Ices Tuesday Afternoon ‘fwndreds of friends and neighbors attended funeral services for Wil- liam F. Harris at the Pres! church Tuesday afternoon. The funer- al cortege was one of the longest in the history of Bismarck and with the great number of floral wreaths, attest- ed the esteem in which the deceased was held, not only in the community but throughout the state. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. F. E. Logee of the Presbyter- ian church and the Rose Croix chap- ter of the Bismarck Masonic lodge had charge of the Masonic services. ‘The Rose Croix choir, including Rev. Gilbert W. Stewart of Mandan, A. J. Arnot, Henry Halvorson and George Humphreys, rendered “Had Thine ‘Way, Lord.” The masonic services bid under the direction of G. F. Dul- im. Pallbearers were: Frank E. WELL KNOWN WILTON MAN DIES SUDDENLY Frank Seidel, Former Chief of Police Succumbs to Heart Attack Tuesday Frank Seidel, former chief of police of Wilton and veteran coal miner, died suddenly at his home at Wilton Tuesday evening, March 13. Death was caused by a ruptured aorta. Mr. Seidel was born July 10, 1870 at Hamenstein Rhine Phalz, Germany. He came to America at the age of 18 years and k at Pittsburgh, Pa. He came to North Dakota in 1907, locating at Wilton, where he was em- Ployed for many years as a miner by the Washburn Coal Company. He married Bertha Unger, of Garrison, N. D., Aug. 3, 1908. He leaves his wife and two step children, Mrs, Mary Stenquist of En- derberg, B. C., and Peter J. Roddts, Minneapolis, Minn., and a sister liv- ing in Hamenstein, Germany. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Maccabees lodge. Funeral services will be held Thurs- day afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Presbyterian church at Wilton! with Rev. Gilbert W. Stewart of Man- dan officiating, assisted by Rev. Fred Christ, Rev.
