\ ‘ * t : Bismarck Study Club Has Annual Guest Day Party Miss Margaret Davis, County; Relief Chairman, Describes Federal Program ‘Thirty women attended the lunch- eon given at 1:30 o’cldck Monday after- noon at the Inn as the annual guest day entertainment of the Bismarck Study club. Fifteen of the women ‘were guests of club members. The three tables, which were ar- ranged in U-shape, were decorated in keeping with the approaching ‘Thanksgiving holiday. Pumpkins and fall fruits were used for centerpieces and a further fall note was carried out in the flowers, large chrysanthemums. A bouquet of the blooms was used on the speakers’ table and separate blooms in bud vases ‘were used on the other two. Mrs. H. C. Frahm, 705 Fourth 8t., as president of the club, presided over the program which opened with the introduction of the guests. Miss Margaret Davies, chairman of relief work in Burleigh county, des- cribed her work in the main talk of the afternoon. Mrs. F. E. Diehl, 809 Sixth 8t., gave current events and Mrs. A. M. Renwick, 807 Sixth St., 1eviewed “Only Yesterday” by Fred- erick Lewis Allen. During the business meeting, plans ‘were made to hold the annual Christ- mas party Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the home of Mrs. 8. A. Floren, 802 Man- sian St., with Mrs. Andrew Erdahl, 116 ‘Thayer Avenue West, and Mrs. John R, Fleck, 712 Mandan St., as assist- ing hostesses. At this meeting the members will exchange gifts and pack 8 Christmas basket for a poor family. Arrangements for Monday’s meet- ing were made by Mrs. F. C. Stucke, 722 Mandan &t., and Mrs. E. J. Heis- ing, 122 Avenue C. * * * Fitterer-Whittey Vows Exchanged at Mandan Miss Frances Fitterer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fitterer, Mandan, was married to Charles J. Whittey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Whit- tey, 722 Sixth St., during a high Mass solemnized at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Mandan at 7 o'clock Tues- | day morning. | Rev. Father Hildebrand, pastor of St. Joseph’s, celebrated the Mass and Yead the marriage service. i The bride wore a white satin gown and white veil with matching shoes. Her bouquet was of roses.
