Methodist Episcopal | “They Pastor Succumbs to Blood Polsoning S| Srna cen inoe Mrs. Ray McClure, 24-year-old wife, of the pastor of the Methodist Epis- copal church at Napoleon, died at a local hospital at 5:50 o'clock Wednes- day afternoon. Her death was caused by blood pol- soning, which developed following the birth of a child a month ago. The baby died when two days old. Mrs. MgClure had been in the hos- pital here one week. Rev. and Mrs. McClure moved to Napoleon three years ago following their marriage Sept. 7, 1930, at Mt. Vernon, Ill. ‘Mfrs. McClure, who was Miss Beu- lah Williford before her marriage, was born near Mt. Vernon May 18, 1908, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ‘W. G. Williford, who had been with sal daughter here since last Thurs- Y. Shie was educated in the schools of Mt. Vernon and a business college at Centralia, Ill. Before her marriage she had been employed at Washing- ton, D. C. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. McClure leaves one son, Willis Chester McClure, two years old, and two brothers, Gale and Leslie Mc- Clure, both living at Mt. Verndn. She had been a member of both the Baptist and Methodist Episcopal churches and the Order of Eastern Star. Short funeral services will be con- ducted from the Methodist Episcopal church at Napoleon Friday afternoon, beginning at 2 o'clock. In charge of the rites will be Rev. Grant S. Moore of Linton and Rev. Alfred Roe, su- perintendent of the Bismarck dis- trict of the Methodist Episcopal church. Following the Napoleon services, the remains will be taken to Mt. Ver- non, where rites are planned in the Methodist Episcopal church there, probably next Tuesday afternoon. The body will be interred in the West Salem cemetery at Mt. Vernon.
