The high school graduates were the follow- ing: Laura Ward, Edith Olson, Laura Meyer, Mable Morton, Franklin Han- son, Hannah Dronen and Thelma Skogen. Miss Laura Ward was vale- dictorian and Edith Olson salutator- fan. Burnett are spending a week visiting in Fargo. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McCann and family spent Sunday evening visiting Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer. The Steele high school boys and a Driscoll team played baseball here Sunday. The score was 9-0 in favor of Driscoll. Mrs. A. Eisenbeisz and Mrs, Irving Hanson and son spent Monday in Bis- march. F, Easton accompanied Mrs. Fred Habeck to Bismarck Wednesday. Mrs. Georgia Van De Klashorst and little daughter accompanied by Mrs. C. Packard and Betty Gilbert, all of Shields, were Thursday visitors at the M.A, Doucette home. They were en route to Moffit to attend the gradua- tion exercises, which were held Friday evening. Miss Luella Coder, grand- daughter of Mrs. Packard, was one of the high school graduates. Mr. and Mrs. G. A, Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larson were Thurs- day visitors at the Fred Habeck home. Miss Ella Trygg has returned to her home in Trygg township after spend- ing the past school term with the Fred Habeck family. Miss Trygg attended high school here. Miss Ruth Malone of Dickinson was @ guest of Mrs. E. L. Adams Thurs- day, Friday and Saturday. She left for her home Saturday evening. The 8th grade and high school graduation exercises were held in the school house Friday night with good attendance. Mr. Sauvain of Bismarck gave the commencement address. The Training School girls glee club of Mandan furnished the music. The Senior 4-H Club was enter- tained Saturday afternoon by Vivian Larson. The girls put on two demon- strations, the making of salad dress- tig the correct way of setting the table. Miss Margaret Olson treated her 8th grade graduates to a trip to James- town Monday. Edna Coons and Katherine Hughes, the graduates, ac- companied by Miss Olson were taken to Jamestown by Mrs. G. Manly. They returned home Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson of north of Sterling were Sunday eve- ning visitors at the George Hughes home. Miss Dorothy Drawver left Satur- day for Ontario, Wisconsin, where she will spend the summer months with her grandmother Curtis. Mrs. B. F. Coons and son Robert were Monday visitors at the Grant Turner home. Miss Ella Leathers returned home from Wolford Sunday after complet- ing a school term. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Mr. and Mrs. Cyril King of Rock- ford, Ill, motored here bringing Mrs. Cc. D. King with them. Mrs. King was called to Rockford quite suddenly when her son Cyril received a frac- tured skull in a car accident. Cyril has recovered sufficiently to make the trip and spend several weeks’ visit- ing here with relatives. Graduation exercises were held in the consolidated school Friday night with Rev. E. L. Jackson, pastor of the Baptist church, Bismarck, giving the address. Special music was fur- nished by Elmer Klipstein, Lorenzo Belk, Bismarck, the boys’ chorus and the girls glee club.
