THE BISMARCK TRIBUNE, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 238, 1982 CONFERENCES FOR ND, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS PLANNED 28 County Units Already Have Made Arrangements For Fall Meetings (By The Associated Press) Twenty-eight count; units of the North Dakota council of religious education will hold county-wide Sun- day school officers’ and teachers’ conferences during the fall months. ‘This is the first year meetings of this kind have been conducted by the state and county councils, according to C. A. Armstrong, state superin- tendent of the council. He said the purpose of the meetings is to give op- portunity for fellowship among the workers from the schools of each county and to give definite instruc- lions to the teachers about their work in the local Sunday schools. Workers from all denominations ‘re expected to be in attendance. A conference of county officers will open each of the sessions at 3 p. m. A school of instruction will be held in_the evening. The following counties already have determined the dates and places for the meetings: Cass at Casselton, Sept. 30; Adams at Hettinger, Oct. 14; Renville at Sherwood, Oct. 20; Bow- man-Slope at Bowman, Oct. 13; Mc- Lean at Underwood, Oct. 25; Wells at Fessenden, Oct. 18; Grand Forks city council, Oct. 11; Bottineau at Russell, Oct. 19; Ransom at Ender- lin, Oct. 19; Emmons-Logan-Mcli tosh at Hazelton, Oct. 1¢; Mc! at Alexander, Nov. 4; Divide To Hear Complaint Of Briquet Company A hearing on the complaint of the Lehigh Briquetting company that the railroads are charging unreasonable rates on lignite briquettes, carload, from Lehigh, N. D., to all points in- trastate, in North Dakota, will be held here Monday. Lightner has come forward with more charges against her husband, George Holtrey, whom she is seeking to di- vorce. The stage and screen comedi- enne said in papers filed in supreme court Thursday that her broker hus- band misconducted himself with two other women. In all she accuses him of infidelity on eight occasions. Holt- rey has filed a $250,000 suit against Roy Del Ruth, director of many of talkies, Crosby, Nov. 17; Sargent at Cayuga, Oct, 20; Rolette at Rolla, Sept. 21; ‘Towner at Cando, Oct. 3. Nine conferences which have not set dates for conferences are Grand Forks at Emerado; Walsh at Forest River; Oliver-Mercer at Hazen; Pem- bina at Hamilton; Ramsey at Devils Lake; Burke at Bowbells; Nelson at Michigan; Cavalier at Calvin, and Richland at Hankinson.
