They were Gerry Taylor, Denver, Colo., and Paul Henderson, Seattle, Wash. Each is six feet one inch tall, they resemble each other enough to be mistaken for brothers, according to Deputy Sheriff A. H. Helgeson. The two men were arrested at a farm house east of Arena late Thurs- day by Sheriff Joseph L. Kelley. An automobile belonging to Dr. A. D. McCannel, Minot, was found aban- doned nearby. The two young men deny they stole the machine or that they had been in Minot, but their stories of their activities during the last few days conflic’, Helgeson said. The deputy sheriff said farmers in the Arena district claim they saw the two men leave the automobile Shortly before they were arrested. When arrested they were weak from hunger and fatigue. Citizens of Edmore Defeat School Levy Edmore, N. D., Sept. 2—()—Citi- zens here defeated a proposal to in- crease the school levy nine mills above the legal limit in a special election Wednesday. Eighty-six voters fa- vored the increase and 64 were op- posed making a total of 150 votes cast.
