They’re easy to make! with Calumet s Double-Action! You can do it—yes, you can! Without fuss. Without bother. Just follow the recipe given— and be sure of this—use Calumet Baking Powder. For it’s Calumet’s Double-Action that makes these quick-and-easy hot cross buns so perfect in texture and taste. Here is why Calumet can do it—it acts twice! As soon as you add liquid to your dry ingredients, Calumet’s first action begins and starts the leavening. Then, in the oven, Calumet’s second action begins. This carries on the leavening. Up!...up!... it keeps raising the dough and holds it high and light, until every roll is baked to tender, fluffy goodness. And it’s this same double-action—this extra protection—that makes all cakes and all your quick breads so unusually delicate and delicious when they’re Calumet-baked. So thrifty too! The simple, tested recipe given here is a Calumet recipe—specially designed for the Calumet proportion—only one level teaspoon CALUMET THE DOUBLE-ACTING BAKING POWDER to a cup of sifted flour. That’s the usual Calumet proportion and should be followed for best results. A splendid economy for you — thanks to the perfect efficiency of Calumet’s Double-Action. Yes, Calumet is the real baking powder bargain! A bargain—because it avoids cost- ly failures—because it always brings top-notch suc- cess!
