HOT CROSS BUNS (kneaded rolls) 2 cups sifted Swans Down V/, teaspoon salt Cake Flour 1 tablespoon shortening 2 teaspoons Calumet Baking 3% 4 cup mille (about) Powder Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift again. Cut in shortening. Add milk gradually until soft dough is formed. Knead lightly for 2 to 3 minutes. Cut small pieces from dough, and roll in palm of hand into balls 1'/; inches in diameter.
