SOC Mrs. H. Burman Heads Local Tent of D. U. V. Mrs. Htnry Burman was elected president of. Tirzah Ann Barclay tent, Daughters of Union Veterang of the Civil War at a meeting held Wed- nesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Cc. W. Dingle, 812 Avenue C. Mrs. Ray Fuller is the retiring president. Named to serve with her during the ensuing year were Mrs. J. C. Peltier, senior vice president; Mrs. James J. Green, junior vice president; Mrs. A. E. Preston, chaplain; Mrs. Earle Scharnowski, patriotic instructor; and Marian Sandin, treasurer. Coun- cil members are Mrs. Ray Fuller, Mrs, Frank Titus, and Mrs, A. L. Sandin. Miss Sylvia Benzon, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Emil Benzon, 804 Seventh St., who is a student at Luther college, Wahoo, Nebraska, was injured in an auto accident which occurred as the college choir was en route to Shenandoah, Iowa, to participate in a radio program, according to information received by her parents. She received a badly wrenched back and severe bruises.
