HAS 500 MILES OF SNOW FENCE NOW Barnes and Ramsey Counties Have Most; Burleigh Has 69,600 Feet North Dakota has 500 miles of snow fences distributed throughout the state, according to figures compiled; by the maintenance division of the. state highway department. The fencing maintained by the de- partment measures 2,625,202 lineal feet. Of this 270,202 feet are of the old type wood panel, while. the re-j mainder acquired since 1926 is the new type wood slat. Barnes county has 153,620 feet of snow fence, the largest of any county in the state, and Ramsey county is next with 105,540 feet. Snow fences maintained in some!
