Patterson, owner of the Patterson and Princess hotels, has been remodeling and redecorating the Princess, formerly known as the Soo, for the past year, and it will be opened to the public on Sept. Sth, under the new name of the Patterson Annex, with pre-war prices. The Patterson Annex will be under the management of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Rice, pioneers in. the hotel business, fornierly in Minneapolis, with the Nicollet, the National, the Andrus, and they also operated the Abbey Tavern for eight years. Mr. Rice was also manager of the Lewis & Clark Hotel in Mandan. The lobby of the hotel has been changed, and the hotel has undergone complete reconstruction and refurnishing. The remodeling process has put the house in a position where it will not have to take second place to other hotels in the city and surrounding country. Mr. and Mrs. Rice are enthusiastic over their new location and intend to run a quiet, home-like hotel for families, tourists, teachers, and com- mercial men, and will arrange apartments with kitchenettes for anyone interested. The hotel will be operated entirely different than it has been in the past. You will find refinement, comfort and cleanliness, This will give Bismarck a first-class hotel at moderate rates, It has 100 rooms, every room with hot and cold water, many rooms have private bath, and private toilets.
