They helped to build this fine struc- ture and we hope they will take ad- vantage of this opportunity to have a good time in it without cost to themselves.” King said “circus lemonade” and sandwiches will be served in the hall for the benefit of those who may de- sire to eat or drink. His case was set for the morning session of traffic court. Four times Judge Kaufman called Carson's name. Four times no answer. The court gave it up and issued a warrant for Carson's arrest. A crowded dsy “wore through the court knocked off at 5 p.m. “Who are you?” a bailiff in- quired, shaking the shoulder of a sleeping man near the courtroom door. It was Carson. He had been asleep since morning. The bailiff recalled the judge from the halls. “I'm a night watchman, and sleep in the day time,” Carson ex- plained. “Couldn't keep awake in court.” The court fined Carson $2. Woman Living Near Minot 31 Years Dies Minot, N. D., June 18.—()—Mrs. John Lochthowe, 68, resident of near Minot for 31 years, died early Thurs- day morning at the Lochthowe farm home, eight miles north and three est of this city. Death ended an illness of three months caused by heart trouble and complications. The funeral will be conducted at St. Leo’s Catholic church Saturday morning with burial in St, Leo's cemetery. Mrs. Lochthowe leaves her hus- band and 10 children, Insane Man Leads Officials on Chase Minot, N. D., June 18.—()—An in- sane man who broke from the cus- tody of George Brown, state trans- portation officer, as he was being placed into an automobile at Mohall Thursday was captured after a foot race of three blocks. Simon Warres, who claims Tolley, N. D., as his home, and who Wednes- day was ordered committed to the state hospital at Jamestown, was caught after his dash for liberty by Sheriff H. R. Gieselman of Renville county. Sheriff Gieselman was standing by when Brown was putting Warres into! the automobile and was the first to overtake him in the chase. The sheriff said that Warres had directed threatening remarks at a relative at Tolley. MOLLA MALLORY HURT New York, June 18—(#)—The for- mer Molla Bjurstedt, tennis star, and her husband, Franklin I. Mallory, Stock broker, hurt in an automobile accident, were regarded as out of danger at a hospital Thursday.
