By DON NICHOLSON Laurence Woodland suffered a frac- tured wrist last Sunday while prac- ticing the high jump for play day. He was taken to Bismarck where it was found both bones were broken. He returned home Wednesday afternoon. Magdalena Emenith has been on the sick list the past two weeks with flu and pleurisy. She is reported some better although she still is in bed. Jeanne Gulson has been sick about two weeks with a severe attack of bronchitis. She is somewhat improved but is unable to attend school. Reverend and Mrs. Gulson attended the tweney-first annual Presbyterial which convened at Steele last week. They were accompanied by Mrs. John Welch, delegate for the Stew- artsdale missionary society, and Mrs. ‘Theodore Knudtson and Mrs. Charles Bowers, delegates for the Glencoe auxiliary. ‘The Telfer 3-Four H club held its regular meeting at the school house last Friday after school. Mrs. H. M. Gulson is leader of the group. The following officers were chosen: Cor- inne Buckley, president; Bernita Na- set, vice president; Catherine Dietrich, secretary, and Lillian Craven, treas- urer. They have a membership of 12, The Glencoe Missionary society met with Mrs. Charles Bowers Wed- nesday afternoon. They have chosen “Christ Comes to the Village” as their next study book. A surprise in the form of a hard- time party was given in honor of Rev- erend and Mrs. H. M. Gulson by friends and members of the Glencoe guests appeared .in worn-out and patched clothing.
