They have returned to Bismarck and will make their home here for the pres- vie xR * Catholic Daughters Will Meet in Fargo The biennfal convention of the North Dakota courts, Catholic Daughters of America, will be held in Fargo May 19-20-21, it was an- nounced this week by Mrs. J. P. Hess, Mandan, state regent. Mrs. Hess visited the Fargo court this week to discuss tentative plans for the meet- ing. Miss Mary C. Duffy, New York City, supreme regent, has been ex- tended an invitation to address the convention, Mrs. Hess said. Miss Duffy was the principal speaker at the convention here two years ago. * ke A handmade quilt, the work of Mrs. James Algeo, Oshkosh, Wis., formerly a resident of Bismarck, is being displayed in the window of Webb's store by the Fort Lincoln chapter, American War Mothers. The quilt will be given away. Mrs. Algeo, who is the mother of Mrs. Harley Wilds, 418 Fifteenth St., is a gold star mother, and a member of the local War Mothers chapter. * * * Members of the Women’s Benefit association gathered at the home of Mrs. G. M. Freitag, 208 Fourteenth St., for a farewell party Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Freitag and their family will leave for Spokane, Wash., within the next few weeks. ‘The evening was spent in playing bridge. There were guests for four tables and honors were held by Mrs. Louis Benser, and Mrs. H. E, Stewart. Mrs. Freitag received a gift of ‘silver. Putnam, Burleigh county agricultural agent, addressed mem- bers of the Crofte-Star Homemaker's club at their February meeting at the home of Mrs. Herbert Fricke. Four-H club work was discussed by Mr. Put- nam. és A discussion of methods of harvest- ing and storing ice on the farm was led by Mrs. Fricke, program leader. A social hour followed the program and refreshments were served by the hostess. For the Marth meeting, Mrs. Wil- liam Fricke, Sr., will be hostess. * * * A group of women who are visit- ing in Bismarck while their husbands are attending sessions of the state legislature, were guests at waffle breakfasts given Tuesday and Wed- nesday mornings by Mrs. O. F. Bry- ant, 305 Avenue B, Appointments in green, with green tapers centering the table, were used for both parties and bridge was played after break- fast. For the party Tuesday, Mrs. Bryant was assisted by Mrs. C. A. Miller, Gackle, and Mrs. Andrew Johnstone, Forest River. Mrs. Nor- man Brunsdale, Mayville, and Mrs. Joseph Poupore, Grand Forks, as- sisted bideaaa a morning. * * Mrs. Roy Nelson, Mason apart- ments, was hostess to members of the N. N. bridge club Wednesday eve- ning. There were guests for two tables and score honors were award- ed to Miss Ida Ellefson and Mrs. E. C. Wachter.
