A debate was held in the school gymnasium Monday evening between the debating teams of the Hazelton and Bismarck high schools. The question for debate was: “Resolved, that Chain Stores Are a Detriment to the American Public.” The Hazelton team upheld the negative. The de- bate, as decided by three judges who came up from Linton, was won by the Hazelton team. This was the first district contest debate to be held. ‘Thursday evening the Royal Neigh- bors will hold installation of officers.
