Governor Shafer, in appointing the commission last January, directed members to make a thorough study of the statutes “for the purpose of de- termining what changes are required to more adequately protect the de- Positing and investing public-and to strengthen and improve the state banking system.” A. L, Finkelstein, joint_ founder of the Finkelstein-Ruben theater circuit, Bismarck’s-Paramount theatre suspended operation from 3 P. m. to 3:02 p. m. The tribute here was simultaneous with the funeral rites in St. Paul. Finkelstein, 61, was in the jewelry business in St. Paul, Minn., for ‘23 years. He became interested in a motion picture enterprice in St. Paul with I, H. Ruben, Des Moines. They developed their theater interests un- til they owned more than 150 thea- tres throughout Minnesota, N and South Dakota and Montana. Stone, manager of the Hotel Prince, announced Friday that he has severed his connection with the Roberts-McNab Hotel company, pres- ent owners of the hotel. Robert McIntyre, manager of the Winona hotel, Winona, Minn., will be transferred to Bismarck as the new manager of the Hotel Prince, accord- ing to Al Breitbach, Jamestown, su- berviser of the Roberts-McNab prop- erties in North Dakota.
