Richard Garmer of Clearbrook, Minn., arrived here recently to spend some time with friends and relatives. The Garmer family are former resi- dents of this community. Local friends of Miss Mary Kelly of Bismarck will be interested in hearing of her recent marriage. Miss Kelly resided in the Baldwin com- munity with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kelly, about 25 years ago. The Kelly family were among Baldwin's pioneer residents, owning a large ranch southeast of here in Crofte township which at present is tenanted by the Burback family. ‘They left here some fifteen years ago. Mrs. Kelly died some years ago. Freeman, manager of the Monarch elevator at this point, was ‘mong those who was initiated into the B. P. ©. E. Friday night. He also attended the Elks' dance Saturday night, Mr. Hatbeck spent the week-end here with his family, returning to his home in Bismarck Sunday. He was quite ill last week, but has improved. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Gherke and family have moved into the house in Baldwin formerly occupied by the Trygg family. County Commissioner William Fricke transacted business in the capital city the latter part of the week, and also looked in at the legis- lative doings. Frank Larson of Bismarck was a caller in the community Friday. Harvey Graham has returned from a short visit at the home of his son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Meyers of .Moffit. Robert Nelson is the owner of a new radio which he had installed re- cently. Rupp Bros. have installed a new radio in their store. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Falkenstein were recent callers in Bismarck, also vis- iting with Mr. Falkenstein’s brtoher, Herman, who is recuperating from an attack of appendicitis.
