E. church held a picnic Thursday afternoon at Barton's grove north of town. There was a good attendance and a good time enjoyed by all. The camp fire coffee made by Mrs. Fetterly was ex- ceptionally good. The Baer Allen and Barton fam- ilies attended the picnic ‘given in honor of Rev. and Mrs. Hammond and family at the Falgatter home in Kintyre Tuesday evening. Church services were held in the Presbyterian church following the picnic. The Ladies Aid of the M. E. church will meet at the home of Mrs. O. E. Lee of Dana Thursday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Savage returned Sunday from a two weeks trip through South Dakota and Iowa. On the way to Iowa they visited Mr. and Mrs. Cal Alberts at Mobridge, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacLachlan at Virgil, 8. Qak., and Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Briggs at Jefferson, 8. Dak. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Shepard accompanied them to these homes. The visit to Iowa was made with friends of Mrs. Savage at Le Mars whom she had not seen for 48 years. Rev. and Mrs. Hammond and chil- dren were Thursday dinner guests at the Dr. Baer home.
