THE BISMARCK TRIBUNE. THURSDAY, . 19, 1980 TRUCK-AUTO CRASH DAMAGE TRIAL 0 Garage and Owner of Truck That Blocked Road Sued by Man and Wife A jury in district ¢ court today was hearing the story of an auto-truck crash several miles east of Wilton in March, 1928, to determine whether Matt Michelson is entitled to $1,000 damages and his wife to the price of @ Ford car, from J. J. Smith and ‘Milo Christianson, operating the Wil- ton Motor Sales garage, and Harold -, Soderquist, owner of the truck which * caused the crash. The two suits of ee Michelsons were consolidated for purposes of trial. The story of the crash was that Soderquist’s truck broke down in the Tear running parts and was left out on the roadat night by employes of the garage after they had removed the rear wheels and placed gasoline containers in their stead. Thé law requires 15 feet open passage when a vehicle is left on the road. The Michelsons assert there were only nine feet so left. Michelson, ascending a hill, came ‘upon the car on the other side just another car approached. To avoid Fashing into this with possible tragedy, he ran his car into the truck and the Ford was wrecked, he said. Charles L.
