He went south for his health about eight years ago since; which time he has resided in At- lanta, Miss Otga Litvinenko, who has the Baldwin schools the past year, left on the train Friday morning for Max from where she will take the North Route to Chicago where she is to become the bride of Ernest L. Bird of that city early in June. Miss Litvinenko has taught in various North Dakota schools for the past seven years. Mr. Bird is a travel- ing salesman for the Foster-Wheeler Corporation out of Chicago. He formerly lived at Minot. After a wedding trip to the groom’s home in Dallas, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Bird will make their home in Chicago. Miss Helen Erickson, who has been teaching school in Baldwin the past year, left Saturday for her home at Portal where after a short visit she will go to Minot and enroll for the summer term at the Normal school. Miss Erickson has accepted a posi- tion as teacher of the third and fourth grades in the Dazey schools this fall. She instructed the primary grades here. School election for the purpose of electing the various officers will be held in the local school house June 3.
