WHEAT SEEDING FAR AMEAD OF LAST YEAR Soo Line Says Soil Conditions Are Favorable, Work Pro- ¥ gressing Rapidly Wheat seeding in the Bismarck ‘rea this year is far ahead of that done last year at this time in most instances, it was reported today by Bismarck officials of the Soo Line} railway. Soil conditions are “very favorable,” field work is progressing rapidly, and pastures are greening rapidly, the re- port continues. Precipitation since Jan. 1 is 1.37 inches, a deficiency of .34 of an inch, the officials say. Last year precipi- ‘ation at this time totaled 1.87 inches. Percentages of wheat already follows: Drake to Max 85 cent compared to 70 to 80 per last year at this time; Douglas to Sanish 60 to 80, same in this year because of heavy rains.
