The children under school age are especially urged to come and those from six to fifteen years. Those above fifteen may take part also, It was estimated that about 35 teachers attended the conference for the graded and consolidated schools held at the Temvik school. Miss Young took charge of the primary de- partment, Mrs. Serr conducted the intermediate department and Mr. Selke had charge of the grammar grades. The forenoon was given to demonstration teaching. The after- noon was spent in discussing teach- ing methods. At noon the Temvik Ladies Aid served lunch. After lunch Miss Bertha Palmer gave a talk. Eugene Landsberger, Frank Lehen and sister Margaret motored to Bis- marck Saturday. Over 150 couples attended the corn show dance Friday evening. The dance was given for the benefit of the stock judging team to go to Kansas City this year. The dance was a financial success. Miss Dorothy Beastrom spent the week-end with home folks. A number of neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. George Zirnhelt gathered together Sunday evening at the Zirnhelt home to help Mr. Zirn- helt celebrate his birthday annivers- ary. Three tables of cards were played. Mrs. Joe Prefontaine and Mr. E. O. Beastrom received head prize and Mrs. J. B. Landsberger and J. D. McCusker took consolation. A dainty lunch was served at midnight. Mrs. John Baker entertained the Grandmothers’ club at her home Tuesday evening. J. J. Landsberger was unfortunate in hurting his back Tuesday of last week and motored to Linton Satur- day to receive treatment.
