D., Oct. 21.—)—With ! Teachers college added to the alumni group since the first annual event of & year ago, this year’s annual home- coming of the college, to be held October 25, 26 and 27, promises to be an outstanding event in the history | of the institution, Dr. George A. Mc- Farland, president, said today. Since the college was established and the first class was graduated in 1914, a total of 2,872 students have srdad diplomas from the institu- jon. Several hundred of these alumni are expected to return for the three- day homecoming program, and to mingle with the 627 students now enrolled at the college, the largest registration for the fall term in the history of the school. This year's enrollment at the col- lege is 20 per cent larger than a year ago, and is a gratifying growth, ac- cording to officials of the institution. In the three years since the senior college course was established in the local school, 65 young men and wom- en have been graduated from it, there being 39 last year. Indicative of the Popularity of the course is the fact that the enrollment this year amounts to 85, and the ;umber of graduates will be nearly double that of last year. Growth of the local college is strikingly reflected when last year's |! graduating class of 258 is contrasted with the class of 14, the first to be given diplomas at the school in 1914, McFarland said. Features of the homecoming pro- gram are a pep rally and bonfire on the evening of October 25; Homecom- ing convocation at 10 a. m. on Octo- ber 26, when a football queen is to be crowned; a football game between the Minot college team and the Jamestown college eleven on the afternoon of Saturday, October 26; a banquet Saturday evening and a victory dance in the college gym- nasium Saturday nigh?.
