Hecker farm for a number of years, was seriously in- jured last week when he had an acci- dent with a tractor. Somehow the tractor crawled over him, leaving Nels with several fractured bones and in- ternal injuries. Mr. Peterson was tushed to McClusky where he re- ceived special surgical care. He was later taken to his home near Mercer, ‘here he is now confined to his bed. | It is understood he is getting along | fairly well though it will be some | {time before he will be able to get! | around. Those who ettended the funeral services of John Keck at Turtle Lake Sunday were the Karl and Henry Schatz families, Miss Jacie Keck and | John Strohs, was a cousin of the Schatzs’ and Miss | Keck. Mr. Keck was 26 years of age and for tne past few years was ci ployed at McCloud, Calif. Word was received here telling of his serious illness. His brother, August, left for the west upon receipt of the telecram and reached the bedsixv of his brother a few hours before he died. At the last he was suffering from hemor- rhages of the lungs.
