Quotations and Stock Upturns Affect Chicago Prices »Chicago, March 27.~(#)—Wheat trading was moderately active today, and for the most part the «market ment is below average, but that the area is 4,000,000 acres less than last year. Wheat closed firm %c to 1%c net higher (¢ 1.16%, May 120% to (March 45, May 45% to 46, July 45% to 45%, September 4314 to 43%); and today, and this circumstance helped to encourage friends of higher prices, especially as the fact was pointed out that United States wheat is once more virtually in line with export bids. The Wheat market continued today to dis- play decided nervousness, and price fluctuations were frequent. Rains today in Kansas acted as CUVSUMEMSEC TERE development regarding wheat. There were also estimates current that the wheat crop of India would approxi- mate 30,000,000 bushels more than last year, and would be sufficient for home requirements. Morover, advices were at hand that United States spring wheat seeding appears likely to receive a good start this week.
