Teams entered in the tournament include Reeder, Rhame, Marmarth, Bowman, Scranton, Bucyrus, and Hettinger with Bucyrus accorded a chance at. winning the laurels. Rhame high school has lost but one game this season, defeating Hettin- ger twice and Reeder once. Their only loss of the season was at the hands of Reeder on the Reeder floor in a two-extra~period contest. Reeder, also, has lost but one game and has defeated Hettinger twice by close scores. Their only loss of the sea- son came about at the hands of Rhame on the Rhame floor. Hettinger has had an up and down season and their claim to a chance ‘* at the championship lies almost wholly in their late season improve- ment with the chances good for the tournament catching them at the peak of their season’s form. Bucyrus 4 and Bowman‘are the “dark horses” of the tournament with Bucyrus re- garded as too small for tournament competition and Bowman rounding into shape a trifle too late to cope with the other teams. Both may, however, show the strength they have occasionally flashed during the sea- son and upset the favorites. One of the oddities of the tourna- ment. is the’ Reeder team with four Hilden boys playing, aided by a cracking good guard in Wanek. The four Hildens are composed of two branches of the Hilden family with two sets of brothers, cousins to each other, and with one set twin-brothers.
