Soland was born at Mad- ison, Wis., on June 24, 1853 and died op August 1, 1928, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 7 days. At the age of 14 years his parents moved to Minnesota. On May 9, 1881, he was united in marriage to Junhuld Helgeson at Northwood, Iowa. Ten children were born to this union. Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian church Sun- day, August 5, at 11 a. m. In the absence of the pastor, Rev. Hamrast, Rev. Corbit officiated. Interment in Lieth Lutheran cemetery.
