Milk will be sold by a number of local farmers, who have been hauling their milk to the city up to now. Among those who will market their milk will be Wayne Cummings, Oscar George Burbeck and others. Local friends of Gordon Jenkins of Bismarck will be interested in hear- ing of his recent marriage to Miss Helen Swanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Swan Swanson, former resi- dents of Baldwin, but now residing on a farm south of Bismarck. Mr. Jenkins was employed in the local bank for a time. A number of homeseekers were in our neighborhood the past week looking over the farms owned by the Farmers State bank. Berg Lhursday afternoon. It was a shock to hear that Mr. Singer of Mercer, who was ill for about three months, passed away Saturday morning at his home. He ig a weil known man. He was at Bismarck at a hospital for a long time, then he came home again as Physicians did no good. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mar- garet Singer, four sons and four aaughters and a large circle of friends. Interment was made at Mercer Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Hitmeyer officiated. Monday marked the beginnii of the harvest in the Regan territory, Cutting of barley and rye is now in full progress and will be followed by wheat harvesting. It is generally estimated that the crops will be as good as last year. Some fields will make a better yield than last while others will yield less in that the stand is thinner. The rye yield will fall somewhat below that of last year, but one the whole will make a fair crop and will average around 15 bushels per acre. The yield of oats will be very good and will aver- age double that of last year. At no time in-previous years have the local . merchants enjoyéd such a volume of implement business as they are now, and until this crop is harvested and threshed this territory will be marked with unusual activities.
