Dinner will be served at 7 o'clock, and music for the dancing will be furnished by the Dakotans. Mrs. W. H. Bodenstab is chairman of the entertair iment committee. Chautauqua Artists Entertain Lions The official club year for the lo- cal Lions closed Mofday with song and laughter. Singers, chautauqua artists, enter- a at the weekly luncheon Mon- jay. C. H. Skinner, who is in charge of the chautauqua in Bismarck, gave a brief talk on the week’s program and on the history of the chautau- qua movement. The next meeting of the Lions club will be held Monday evening at 6:30 when officers for the ensuing year will be formally installed. Olson, of New Rockford. * Pretty Wedding Event of Monday A pretty wedding occurred Mon- day noon in the parlor of the Grand Pacific hotel when Miss May E. Hanson of Turtle: Lake and Charles E. Stephenson of McGregor were married before an altar improvised with ferns and lilies. Rev. Walter E. Vater of the McCabe Methodist church read the service in the pres- ence of a small group of relatives and friends. Miss Emma B. Hanson, sister of the bride, played the wedding march from Lohengrin as the bridal party assembled. Mrs. Vaughn Hanson of Turtle Lake was brides- maid. Her gown was of pale green georgette. Vaughn Hanson attend- ed_as best man. The bride wore a frock of shell ink georgette trimmed with silver lace. Her hat and other accessories were in shades of pink, and she carried bridal roses. A four course dinner was served in the Grand Pacific dining room after the ceremony. A basket of roses centered the table while pink and gold streamers reached to each place. Covers were laid for 20 guests, J Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson are tak- ing a trip to Yellowstone Park and the Black Hills. After September 1, they will be at home at McGregor . where Mr. Stephenson is superin- tendent of schools. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hanson of Turtle Lake. She is a graduate of the State Teachers college at Valley City, and has been teaching at Ken- sal for the last two years, Mr, Stephenson is a graduate of the Valley City State Teachers col- lege and has attended the North Dakota State college, at Fargo, The Degree of Honor lodge will hold a picnis Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Mandan park.
