6 Miss Eva Arntz and Fred Smith Are Married Here Miss Eva Arntz of Burnstad and Fred Smith of Brittin were married here recently at the Catholic par- sonage. Father John Slag read the marriage service. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Michael Held of Man- dan, while Mr. Held was best man. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Smith went to Burnstad where a reception was held at tie Lome of the bride’s parenis, Mi. and Mrs. T. J. Arntz. More than 250 guests attended. The bride and groom will leave soon for a motor crip to Min- nesota lake resorts. Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Burn- stad high school and inas been teach- ing near Bismarck for tte last three years. Mr. Smith is engaged in farming near Burnstad, where they will make their home. se 8 Misses Reimestad Honored at Bridge Misses Pauline Fritz and Grace Ellness entertained Wednesday eve- ning in compliment to Misses Lillian and Charlotte Reimestad, who will leave soon to make thei: home in St. Paul. Vases of wild roses furnished an} attractive floral note in the decora- tion of the rooms where bridge was vlayed at three tables. Honors in the evening’s games were won by Miss Ruth Wetmore and Miss Louise Koffel. The guests of honor were presented with gifts. It would cost the taxpay- ers only $1,582 annually if they vote the $15,000 bond issue next week to guarantee the construction of new city capitol. These are the facts of the city hall project case, C. D. Cooley, president of the city commission, said in a special report addressed to the commission and taxpayers. The city audit shows that Man- dan ‘ill save $818 each year by con- structing a new city hall to replace the old one burned this sprinz.
