The summary for the! districts is a total of 179 samples with an average weight of 57.3 pounds and 11.82 per cent protein. Seventeen samples of durum wheat ¢ tested from Adams. Cass, Dick Kidder, LaMoure, ae son, Pierce, Traill und Wells coun- ties. They had an average weight | of 59.7 pounds and 1455 per cent protein. Practically all the samples of wheat | tested to date at the college have! been unthreshpd head samples secured by the county agents, points out Mr.| Mangels. Threshing of wheat is now becoming general over the state, but | the college is able to give early preliminary report of the wheat crop due to the activities ef the county agents in securing samples of grain before threxhing begins.
