Mrs. J. L. Mullin Is Hostess to Guests From Out of Town Mrs. J. L. Mullin entertained Mon- aay afternoon in compliment to Mrs. J. Hanson of Mayville and Mrs. Harold Kari Hanson of Fergus Falls, Minn., who have been visiting Mrs. Henry Hanson, and for Mrs. Andrew Bergstrom of Crookston, Minn., who is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Curtis Dirlam. Following a social afternoon Mrs. Mullin served a luncheon course at 5 o'clock. The guests of honor were Preseatea”, ,with dainty corsages as avors. Esther Anderson Is Honoree at Shower Miss Esther Anderson, who will be a bride of this month, was the honor guest last evening at a shower given by employes of the Woolworth com- pany at. the home of O. Nordlund, manager of the Woolworth store in this city. An event of the evening was a mock wedding which was presented by the guests. A dainty luncheon course was served at the conclusion of a social evening. Miss Anderson received a gift from the guests. COUNTRY. CLUB PARTY Members of the Country club will entertain Thdrsday cvening at the second dancing party of the season. Dancing will begin at 9 o'clock with music by the U. 8. Commodore or- chestra, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Gilman, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Webb, and Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Corwin will be in the receiving line for the party. TO ATTEND WEDDING Mrs. A. W. Cook and son, David, und daughters, Nona, Grace and Mary, and Mr. and Mrs, Paul Cook left to- day for Grand Forks where they will attend the wedding of Albert W. Cook to Marjorie E. Moore which will take place tomorrow. Miss Grace Cook will visit friends in Grand Forks and Fargo before re- turning home. ANNOUNCES MARRIAGE Announcements have been received by friends in the city of-the mar- riage of Miss Wilma Elaine Coats, daughter .of Mr. and Mrs. Coats of Huron, 8. D., and formerly ef Bismarck, to Charles E. Barkl on May 17. The wedding took place at Huron where Mr. and Mrs. Barkl will be at home after August 1. TO ARtERD, MEETING Mr. and Mrs. L. Young, accom- panied by Mrs. Youns’s father, C. A. Christie, drove to Jamestown today. Mr. Young will attend a meeting of the board of trustees of Jamestown col- lege.
