There were 15 guests at the dinner which was followed by a bridge party in the hotel parlors. Three tables played, Miss Ruth Pol- lard winning honors, *Mrs. E. 4. Heising was chairman of the committee in charge and was as- sisted by Miss Mary Houser. TO ATTEND CONFERENCE Rev. C. F. Strutz, pastor of the Immanuel Ltd ATH church, and Rev. A. H. Ermel, pastor of the Ger- man Evangelical church, left Mon- day evening for Cavalier to attend the sessions of the annual North Da- kota conference of Evangelical churches, which opens Thursday and will continue through Sunday. Pre- liminary sessions began today. Rev. C. A. Bremer, presiding elder for this district, alsq went to Cavalier Monday to be present at the meet- ings. J. F. Schwantes is a lay del- egate to the conference and went to Cavalier today. MONDAY CLUB MEETS The Monday Study club was enter- tained yesterday at the home of Mrs. H. P, Goddard. Mrs. W. EB. Lahr gave an interesting review of John Galsworthy’s book, “The Silver Spoon,” and Mrs. Fred Jansonius reviewed “Griffin in China” by Genevieve Winsatt. JUNIOR-SENIOR BANQUET The Junior-Senior banquet of the Bismarck Hospital School of Nurses will be held Saturday evening at the Prince hotel. Graduating exercises of the school will be held on June 5 and 6 when 22 nurses will receive their diplomas. Larson Honor Guest Monday at Club Luncheon The Bismarck Study club tained Monday noon ‘at the Grand Pacific hotel with a luncheon at which Mrs, E, G. Larson, who is leav- ing in the n future for Valley City, and new members of the club were enter- marked with a nosegay of rosebuds and daisies. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out in all the appointments, Mrs. Larson was presented with a gift from the club. Following the luncheon bridge was played at the home of Mrs. F. B. Mulholland, state manager of the Homesteaders Life Association of Des Moines, Ia., spent the past week in Bismarck reorganizing the local field force, Mrs. A. N.
