The Woman's Study and Civic Club is sponsoring 2 contest in which all high school students and pupils of the cighth grade are urged to take part. It is a contest of historical essays, and stories of pioneer life. The purpose is to make a complete historieal record of Emmons county for the historical department at Bis- murck. Several other counties have done this work and the stories given by the school children have contribut- ed toward a complete record.
