D., of Platte, | Dakota, were held at vclock Wed- | nesday, December wood Chapel, from Lake- Minneapolis. Dr. Postlethwaite was born in New- ton Hamilton, Pennsylvania, where he spent his boyhood. He was a graduate of Franklin College, Ohio, in 1903 he graduaated from McCor- mick Theological Seminary. Chicaco, From Seminary Dr. Postlethwaite went to Hanna City, Mlinois, where he took his bride. The next eleven years he spent in Wisconsin, serving us pastor of the First. Presbyterian church of Marshfield for five years and the Pioneer Presbyterian church of Marinette for six years. In 1916 Dr. Postlethwaite moved to Bismarck, North Dakota, where for eight and one-half years he was pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Due to a prolonged illness, he resigned last -| Jgnuary for a several months’ rest. i} Seemingly restored to his normal health and vigor, he resumed his ministerial work this fall in the Federated church of Platte, South Da- kota. Although he had not been feel- ing the best for about ten days his condition was not considered serious. He made all preparation for his Christmas service, occupying his pul- pit on Sabbath morning.
