Smart was the honor guest at a bridge party given by the Episcopal Ladies Guild at the home of Mrs. J. B, Hollenbeck yesterday afternoon. This was in the nature of a farewell party since Mrs. Smart expects to leave next week for Jeffer- where she will join their new home. Five tables of bridge were in play- ing during the afternoon,(the honors being won by Mrs, W. F. Crewe. The’ honor guest was presented with a token of friendship by her friends during the bfternoon. Vases of chrysanthemumg were used to efféct pretty decoratiéns about the Hollen- beck home. Wilham-Carufel Take Nuptial Vows Miss Mathea Carufel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Nurses | Registration Bureau Is Opened A Central Nurses Registration Bureau for the nurses of the city and surrounding vicinity has been organized and will be opened the first of next week at the home of Mrs, Ferris Cordner who will act as registrar. The bureau is primar- ily for priyate duty nurses and to assist physicians in locating a nurse upon short notice. Formerly there have been several places at which the nurses registered, the main cen-| ters -being the two hospitals. It is expected that by this method people who wish to obtain a nurse can do so gf any at all are available.
