The morn ing session at the Presbyterian chureh opened with assembly singing by Mrs. John Graham. Most of the morning was devoted to reports of the depart- ment chairman. Health was handled by Mrs. Ray N. Dickinson of Minot; Ars, Miss Bertha Palmer, Bismarck; Conservation, Mrs. Cyrus Wheeler, Hope; Educational, Mrs. W. H. Weat- ergaard, Williston. Delegates Ei Delegates are enthusiastic as the meeting ends at the manner in which Bismarck has entertained them. The Town Criers, Bismarck Commercial club, various religious and fraternal organizations. have put every effort forth to make their stay enjoyable. A citizens’ committee headed by Mr. Whitney rounded up 50 or 60 cars Thursday afternoon and gave’the del- egates a delightfil ride about the city. Points of interest were visited, such as the bridge site at Missouri river, state capitol, penitentiary and the residence: districts. Thursday afternoon's program Was especially -instructive. Chief Justice Chris- tianson discussed “Present Laws Con- cerning Women and Children.” He gave an exceedingly instructive ad- vlress. Mrs. Agnes Rex, Grand Forks, spoke on eeded Legislation”. and ‘New Obligations of Citizenship” was the topic assigned to Miss Minnie Niel- son. A yocal solo was given by Mrs. Jardine of Fargo.’ County chairmen were introduced and there was the presentation of.a loving cup. These ceremonies were under the direction of Mrs. J. H. Shepherd of Fargo. Thursday evening the annual en- dowment fund benefit entertainment was given at the Auditorium. _Mrs. John Graham was in charge of the program which was prepared under the auspices of the Bismarck Musical club, The concert was enjoyed by a large audience and the best of talent participated in a well balanced pro- gram. “X" CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The home of M.. and ‘mrs. F. L Conklin at 73 Avenue A west was the scene of a very pretty function on Thursday evening of. Club week. The guests of Mrs. Conklin at a five course dinner were the members of the “X” club composed of ex-officers of the state federation.
