The Bismarck Athletic club demonstrated yesterday that it has the former; it is now up to the fans to show the players that Bjsmarck has the latter, by, rallying to the support of the team. There was a big crowd out yester- day for the holiday series with Brady dock and Underwood, and the crowd saw three of the best games that hav been played in ‘this section of the state in many moons. Dyed-in-the-wool fans declare Bis-+ marck never had a better team in the -field ‘than was on the diamond Sun- day Three nine. inning games were played Sunday, an awful grind for any ball club, but the team went through the long route playing with pep an setting, better as the games progress- ed. ° Classy Opposition The local club was up against real opposition, too. And every Bismarck player was on his toes. biles. was regulated.so that every oc- cupant in every car in the grounds had a fine vision of the game, and a, special policeman kept the crowd from swarming over the field. Fast Ball The Bismarck club haf a number of games in view with teams, of’ fine caliber, and the fans will have the opportunity of seeing good ball games all\jhrough the present season. Sunday's game was to have’ been with Braddock players, but the rain made it impossible for the Braddock players to get here over heavy. roads, and the. prison team -was played. Braddock came on for a game yester- day morning, and the afternoon games were with Braddock and Underwood. The afternoon games were both fast.
